From Panorama Canada to Pitztal Austria and back to Winter Park. The ski season has started strong. With traveling in full motion, these last few weeks have truly been an adventure. From the strong performance in Panorama straight to another one in Pitztal Austria. I was able to manage a gold medal, and a silver medal along side my friend and team mate Tyler Walker. Who also managed some very impressive podiums. What made Pitztal so special, is every morning at the crack of first light. You had to wait for a train, which would load all your equipment up. Then take you through a long dark tunnel up a mountain to a Glacier. Which was where we raced. It was quite the experience. The course was simple yet fast, and as always the european racers gave us a run for our money. But, taking our time and adapting to the conditions and situations. I truly believe, we have many more medals on the way this year. A huge part of the adventure, was after our final race day in Pitztal we drove 4 hours to Munich. Flew to Houston, then to Denver, drove to Winter Park Colorado. Then raced the next day. Eight thousand miles and two races in a day. All so we can represent our country. I must say, the experience, no matter how painful and tiresome was unique and totally worth it. Because besides the pain, the medals won in Winter Park, made it that much more worth it. Tyler Walker Managed a Gold and Silver in the GS where i managed 2 Bronze. Great gifts to bring home for the holidays! The next week or so will be time with the family, good food and friends. With of course, skiing. That is tell, the 5th of January when the Would Cup season will start up full swing in Abtenau Austria. Ill say i can’t wait for more adventures and a good season.
