My name is Andrew Kurka. Born January 27, 1992. Member of the US Adaptive Alpine team. Currently working part time in broadcasting and professional announcing. I am a paralympic and world cup Mono Skier and could use some sponsor’s to help me get there. The Paralympics are the Olympics for the physically handicapped such as paraplegics and amputees. The mono-ski is an adaptive device used for skiing, most mono-skis use typical bindings and skis.
My injury occurred when I was thirteen in a four wheeler fishing accident in Alaska. Before my injury I had won 4 state wrestling titles and planned on having a career in both the Olympics and by being a professional announcer/DJ. After being injured my plans haven’t changed much i am currently a radio DJ and member of the US adaptive ski team on my way to the Paralympics. Since my injury i have been a miracle child and miracle spokes person for the Childrens Miracle Network which started me off in experience with public speaking, radio adds, and television commercials. I am currently training in a mono skiing race school at Challenge Alaska at Alyeska in Girdwood, and the Paralympic development program out of Aspen CO.
My goals are to win the Paralympic racing circuit. I plan to do my best and help others in the process. I hope to one day have a foundation that would help children with disabilities get out and live their life.
Any and all donations, sponsors, and grants will go to my funding for skiing and to help advertise your name. Ask what you would like me to do for the sponsorship and I will get it done.
Thank you! For your time and consideration.
Please E-mail me for interest in sponsorship!
